Last updated: September 14, 2025
kpopfanchant.com (“we,” “us,” or “our”) provides a directory of fan chants for Korean pop (K-pop) artists. We care about your privacy and explain here what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
If you have questions or want us to delete your data, email exampleemail@fornow.com.
1) Who we are & scope
This policy covers personal information processed when you visit kpopfanchant.com and any pages we control that link to it. It doesn’t apply to third-party sites we link to (e.g., official artist pages, social platforms).
2) Information we collect
We do not require an account to view content. We may collect:
- Usage & device information: page views, clicks, scrolls, referring URLs, approximate location (city/country), device type, browser, OS, screen size, language, and event timestamps.
- Cookies and similar technologies: set by us and our partners (Google AdSense and Google Analytics) to run the site, measure performance, and show ads.
- Communications: if you email us, we’ll receive your email address and any information you provide.
- Consent records: your cookie/consent choices and related logs (e.g., time, region).
We do not knowingly collect special-category/sensitive data.
3) How we use information
- Site operation & security (legitimate interests): load pages, prevent abuse, debug issues.
- Analytics & performance (consent in regions where required): understand which pages are used so we can improve them.
- Advertising (consent in regions where required): show contextually relevant or personalized ads and cap ad frequency.
- Communications (legitimate interests/consent): reply to your emails and requests.
- Legal compliance: meet our legal and tax obligations.
4) Cookies & similar tech
We use first-party and third-party cookies, local storage, and SDKs for:
- Strictly necessary (e.g., consent storage, security)
- Analytics (Google Analytics 4)
- Advertising (Google AdSense/Google Marketing Platform)
You can control cookies via our banner, your browser settings, and the tools listed below.
5) Google Analytics (GA4)
We use Google Analytics 4 to measure traffic and usage. GA4 collects event data (e.g., page views, outbound clicks). Google may process this data on servers outside your country. We configure GA4 to retain user and event data for up to 14 months (subject to Google’s available settings).
Choices:
- Install the Google Analytics Opt-out Add-on for your browser.
- Use our cookie/consent banner to opt out of analytics where required.
- If we enable Google Signals (cross-device reporting/ads personalization), you can control ad personalization in your Google Ad Settings.
6) Google AdSense & advertising
We use Google AdSense to display ads. Ad partners may use cookies or mobile identifiers to deliver, measure, and improve ads, including frequency capping and fraud prevention. Depending on your region and consent, ads may be personalized based on your activity.
Choices:
- Use our consent banner to manage ad cookies (EEA/UK and where required).
- Visit YourAdChoices (NAI) and AboutAds pages to manage interest-based advertising preferences in supported regions.
- In California, you can request to opt out of “selling” or “sharing” (as defined by CPRA) via our cookie banner or by emailing exampleemail@fornow.com with the subject “Do Not Sell or Share.”
We participate in Google’s Consent Mode (v2) and use a Google-certified CMP in regions where required so that analytics/ads respect your choices.
7) WCAG accessibility commitment
We’re committed to building and improving accessibility in line with WCAG 2.1 Level AA guidelines. Efforts include semantic HTML, keyboard-accessible navigation, sufficient color contrast, alt text for non-decorative images, and clear focus states. Accessibility is a journey; if you experience a barrier or need an alternative format of this policy or content, email exampleemail@fornow.com. Please describe the issue, the page URL, and any assistive tech you’re using. We aim to respond within 5 business days.
8) Legal bases (EU/UK only)
- Consent: analytics and advertising cookies.
- Legitimate interests: site security, basic operations, non-essential email replies you initiate.
- Compliance: meeting record-keeping requirements.
You can withdraw consent at any time via the banner (this won’t affect prior processing).
9) Data sharing & transfers
We share data with service providers only to run our site:
- Google LLC (Analytics, AdSense)
- Hosting & CDN providers (to deliver the site)
- Email service providers (to receive/respond to your emails)
These providers act as processors or independent controllers depending on the service. Data may be transferred internationally (e.g., to the U.S.). Where applicable, transfers rely on standard contractual clauses or equivalent safeguards.
We do not sell your contact information for money. In some U.S. states, “sharing” for cross-context behavioral advertising may occur when ad cookies are enabled; you can opt out as noted above.
10) Data retention
- Analytics: kept according to GA4 retention settings (currently up to 14 months).
- Consent logs: typically 13–24 months (to demonstrate compliance).
- Emails: as long as needed to address your request and maintain records, unless you ask us to delete them (subject to legal holds).
11) Your rights & choices
Depending on your location, you may have rights to:
- Access, correct, delete, or export your personal data
- Withdraw consent (for analytics/ads)
- Object to or restrict certain processing
- Opt out of “sale”/“sharing” for targeted advertising (US state laws)
How to exercise: email exampleemail@fornow.com. We may request information to verify your identity. We aim to respond within 30–45 days (or the timeframe required by law).
Appeals (certain U.S. states): If we deny your request, reply to our decision email with “Appeal”. If you still have concerns, you can contact your state attorney general or data protection authority.
12) Children’s privacy
Our site is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13 (or the age defined by your region). If you believe a child provided personal information, contact us and we’ll delete it.
13) Do Not Track & Global Privacy Control
Some browsers send Do Not Track (DNT) signals; we don’t currently respond to DNT. Where supported, we will honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) as a request to opt out of targeted advertising/sale/sharing in applicable jurisdictions.
14) Third-party links
Our site may link to third-party websites. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies.
15) Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect personal information. No system is 100% secure; please use the site with this in mind.
